I've been riding at Russell's for about a year now, and my lesson is always the highlight of my week. As a 33 year old coming back to riding after intermittent lessons and opportunities to ride in my teens and twenties (never "seriously"), I am immensely grateful for Carol and Verity's patient, kind teaching. I only wish I'd learned using their approach from the start! Instead of just shouting directions like so many instructors do, they take the time to explain exactly how the rider's aids and position affect the horse. Their horses are wonderfully trained, beautifully cared for and allowed to have their own independent minds, and their facilities are gorgeous. I can't recommend Russell's highly enough.

Best yard around so friendly, welcoming and calm environment. The care for both horses and riders alike is incredible. I have been riding here for 20 years now from lessons and loaning a couple of ponies to now owning my own horse who is kept here.
