Russ is an amazing teacher and mentor. I can't believe that at the beginning of September I didn't even own a camera and now, the week before Christmas of the same year I am taking amazing photographs not only Confidently but also with absolute focus and knowledge on baby safety. I really wouldn't have been able to do this without Russell and his course which has been meticulously put together by a true professional. I give this course 10 out of 5 stars. If newborn photography is your ambition, this is the only way to go. Do it, you won't regret it. Maternity course for me next! A million thank yous Russ x

Russ is a phenomenal trainer and photographer. From our first Zoom call to discuss my training session, I knew I had made the right decision in choosing him to further my education in newborn photography. I learnt so much on the day and came away with a wealth of knowledge and a reignited passion for photographing newborns. Russ was also wonderful with the newborn model and her parents. I would 100% recommend Russ as both a trainer and photographer.

On January 25, I registered for a (quite expensive) workshop newborn photography on May 26 and 27. Due to the corona crisis and to the first lockdown, this could logically not take place. On May 11 we received an email from Russ: “We will review the situation in July and get back to you. If it gets to a point where it looks like the international travel restrictions and social distancing are not eased for the remainder of the year, we will likely cancel the workshop and you will certainly be refunded”. From then on there was only radio silence… After sending a couple of mails, we received a message (October 23) that he will arrange our refund, but also asking – due to financial problems – if he could pay half the amount now, and ‘the rest at a later date’. I immediately let him know that we would prefer a total refund. We are also encountering severe difficulties in our photography work due to the consecutive lockdowns. We are now nearly three weeks later, and we still haven’t received a penny…

Russ and his wife made me feel very welcome at the Maternity photography training session today. The training day is a good long day filled with models and hands-on training that I personally found very valuable. Russ is not only a very talented photographer he is a nice guy and excellent teacher who enjoys teaching. He is very down to earth and happy to help others along their photography journey this is very important as he is a good role model in the photography community. I came away feeling motivated and fired up ready to make some changes to my own style and sessions. It's worth every bit of money so I highly recommend any training with him!
