I took my grandson here for a school friend's birthday and was not really looking forward to it. However, I was very pleasantly surprised. Once everyone had arrived for the party, the children were collected by a member of staff and taken to a seperate area where they watched a safety video. Although I couldn't hear what was going on, I gathered from watching the childrens' faces that they were engaged as the young woman talked through the safety issues and how the party would run. She then led them to the fun - trampolines, sponge filled pits, climbing nets etc etc - what 8 year old wouldn't love it! I went up to the cafe for a coffee, having been given a free hot drink voucher. The cafe is small but well run. They served simple snacks like toasted sandwiches and paninis, crisps, chocolate, and a range of hot and cold drinks. There are tables and chairs and you can enjoy your food and drinks whilst watching everyone running, jumping and laughing. Food and drinks are not allowed in the play area. When I had finished my coffee, I went down to the play area and was able to track down my grandson and watch him having a thoroughly good time with his friends. At the alloted time, an announcement gathered the children together, and they marched in an orderly queue to a party room. A choice of squash was served with chips and pizza (which was delicious) all served to the children by the same 'supervisor'. Birthday cake was served and the kids sat and chatted a while, then the table was cleared up, party bags given out and we all went home, tired, happy and ears ringing with laughter. I was very impressed by how organised Rush is. The place is generally very clean (within the limits of kids tearing around), and that includes toilets, cafe, play areas and reception. It felt as safe as it could be. Our little gang persuaded one of the dads to help them climb into a net over the oonge pit and a supervisor very quickly asked them to top because there were too many of them. The kids love it and I can see why. Parents are well catered for too. Well done Rush.

Birthday Party held here recently and it was horrendous! There was health & safety concerns that I raised with Rush afterwarss and never received any response. The price is expensive, but wanted a hosted party - however the host was non-existent on the day from the beginning. He was not available when we got there to check in so had to wait around initially and there was problems getting everyone checked in. Once started he took the kids over to the dodgeball section for what should have been party games, I took one child to get their water bottle and when I got back he had left without saying anything and all the children had dispersed around the venue without any warning to any of the adults present. We then didn't see him again after that initial 3 minutes until he brought the food into the party room. It seems that young & inexperienced people are put into the role without any training or support. We had food allergies in the group which we alerted to them in the booking and on the day to our party "host" - these were completely ignored! The idea of having a hosted party at a venue like Rush is that parts of the stress of the day are handled - this was an awful experience and would not recommend at all. It's good for a bounce around to burn off some energy (although overcrowded at weekend/peak times so would suggest quieter times if that's an issue for you/children) but otherwise do not even bother with birthdays! Even more so that we honestly gave feedback to Rush after the party and have had no response for over a month shows the lack of concern they have.

Great if you need to get energy out of your kids when there's nothing else to do.
