Had my hair cut by James today, he knew exactly what he was doing and was very professional. The supervisor/teacher was really attentive as well and made me feel at ease throughout. My hair looks great and I will definitely be returning.

I came to the Academy as a model for a cut and colour. My hair was very well cut, conditioned and coloured. The receptionist and the students were friendly. Simon, the tutor who supervised the hair cut was fabulous and put one at ease. However, Jeremy, the tutor running the colour class was complaining about my hair type to another person. After the class he told me that my hair was horrible, it was colour resistent, it was difficult to cut and colour. He then proceeded to tell me that the hair cut was horrible. I said something back to him and he ran off. This guy is definitely not a good advert to the Academy and spoils the good feeling that the others work hard to achieve.

Just had an amazing colour and cut by the incredible Stephanie Elliott! I have had my hair highlighted for a long long time and by far Steph has been the best. The colour is amazing and such a great tone as well, so happy with the results and would recommend Steph to everyone, thank you xX

I came here for a discounted haircut, as per the academy seeking hair models for students to train on. While I understand the premise of "you get what you pay for", I'm really disappointed in the experience. The student was fine and friendly; she was a bit slow but I really did not mind, as I know she was training. From the beginning, I expressed that I wanted a trim and no short layers, but they agreed that they could do long layers so I said OK to that. The directors/supervisors coached the student to do exactly the opposite and I was left with choppy, awful layers. I expressed 3-4 times that I didn't want this and it was agreed upon. I understand if the supervisors want the students to gain experience and if the academy wants to use their own creativity, but they should inform the clients (in which case if they did, I would have been happy to go elsewhere). My advice is that even the academy agrees to do the haircut you desire, be prepared for them to falsely reassure you and then do what they want anyway. 5 months of growing out my hair was gone instantly and I couldn't be more unhappy with this haircut :(

As someone who doesn't like mirrors all the hairdressers have taken this into consideration while cutting my hair.
