Rumi provided me with architectural and interior design services, plus project management, for the renovation of my living room and dining room in my traditional victorian semi-detached house in Moseley. I can’t recommend Rumi highly enough! I approached Rumi as I wanted to knock the two rooms through into one. I had lots of ideas but didn’t know where to start. I was looking for a designer with an eye for detail and an architectural focus, rather than going straight to a builder, who could help me design how best to knock the rooms into one, but also add some creative design. From start to finish the whole process was a dream. Rumi came up with fantastic ideas for my space, including the use of sliding pocket doors to enable separation of the two rooms if needed - which is an idea I would never have thought of myself. Rumi provided me with a creative concept based on a few inspiration photos I gathered, drew up floor plans, including placement of lighting and electrical aspects, and looked at how we could best lay out furniture in the space. Rumi was fantastic to work with and greet to communicate with at all stages. Rumi presented an fantastic initial concept and then happily tweaked and adjusted the designs based on my feedback. Rumi then sourced excellent tradespeople to deliver the work, provided a clear scope of works and accurate costs based of my choices of materials etc - which did not increase throughout the build! Throughout the build, Rumi kept in close contact with the build team and visited site regularly. Rumi was always available to pop over if any issues occurred or we needed to make decisions. This part of the service was invaluable to me and meant everything went really smoothly. The tradespeople Rumi works with are of a really high standard and the snags list was pretty non-existent! Rumi’s overall design, including suggestions for furniture and final touches, has created a space that brings me so much joy! I would highly recommend Rumi for any interior project and I hope to work with her again on my next project.
