Served an alcoholic drink when asked for a non-alcoholic drink to a recovering alcoholic and found short black hairs in the food… not a great hen do meal

A group of 8 of us went on Saturday. The food was nice and the service was nice and fast but the music was louder than the Apollo13 shuttle taking off. No need for that in a restaurant if it wasn’t for this I would have given it 5 stars

This place has a great vibe, music was on point! My server Des was lovely, very attentive and knowledgeable regarding the menu. I personally wouldn’t say the food was authentic (hence 4 stars rather than 5) but having said that it was still delicious! The chicken bites were seasoned beautifully, the salt fish fritters could have done with having more salt fish in them, but still tasty and the tamarind sauce that comes with it tasted like it had been blended with coriander (I love coriander but I know some people hate it!). The jerk chicken was nice, but lacked the jerk flavour I was craving, mine was actually slightly burnt which was a shame. Beware the cocktails are lethal, but worth it! Overall I would visit again, but perhaps lower my expectations of receiving the Caribbean food I craved.

Was really looking forward to trying this place and was so disappointed. We weren’t assigned one server so it was kind of grab anyone you can find to order drinks / food. The drinks were ok, so much ice made them watery. Also, we were told when we wanted to order one more 5 minutes before happy hour we couldn’t! Even tho it had taken 10 mins to find a server. The food - what a let down. I had the jerk bowl, and the chicken was slimy, almost under cooked and not tasty not spicy at all. The rice was the most bland tasting rice and the coleslaw was the strongest cabbage tasting one I’ve ever eaten. They were also ‘out’ of fries. Considering these are some of the main dishes on the menu (dirty fries) and it was only about 5/6pm so early in the evening, we were so surprised and let down. I had had jerk chicken before from a Carnival stand and it was 100 times better. The prices for this place are way off the value of what you’re getting. I would not recommend this place to anyone who is looking for an authentic rum and jerk house.
