We were sadly disappointed in our visit yesterday. We enjoyed our drink in the bar upstairs beforehand, the spiced negroni was excellent. However, the service was lacking downstairs, we had our finished dessert plates in front of us for a full 20 minutes before I finally flagged someone down to clear them. The vegetable side dish was described as having a hazelnut crumb, but was just peas, so not at all as described. Both the steak and kidney pudding and the chicken pie were nice, but not outstanding. Perhaps it's our taste, but we found both desserts to be too sweet. Overall underwhelming sadly.

We had an amazing evening at Rules in one of the Private dining rooms. Kaci has to be one of the best hosts in London. He made sure that 2 of our guests, whose anniversary it was, were looked after amazingly after a tough day for them in a London hospital. Food was amazing as well. So all round an evening to remember
