I purchased a dress yesterday at the shop, went home and tried it on over my t shirt and shorts it fitted fine, as I took it off I turned it inside out to be washed and to my astonishment discovered smears of human poo all down the back of the inside, I nearly vomited!, as a curtesy I went back in this morning and told the manager what had happened as I thought they should be informed taking the receipt and tag of the dress as I had put it in the bin, she asked me nicely if I could possibly bring the dress in so that they could possibly find out how this had happened. With covid etc I thought this was quite a serious matter so removed the dress carefully from the bin and took it back, I had already told them I did not want my money back as I would give to the charity anyway, the manager looked at the dress and to my utter horror , said we would not have sold it like this as it is FRESH !!!!!I Which it wasent as it was all dry ugh! could not believe what she was saying and told her I had never been so insulted in my life, I was so upset I left the shop in tears after telling the lady on the till what a horrible insulting women the manager was and what she had accused me of, what a truly despicable person, I have just read the review above this one, of the manager called Karen but don’t know if it’s the same person , that she would not let an older lady use their loo in the whitstable mspca shop and she soiled herself and that sounds like her, she was in the shop today 9th July around 11.30.......I love dogs but I will never go in that shop again.

Whilst shopping with my frail mother who has dementia, she was taken short and needed the loo desperately, Karen flatly refused for my mother to use the facility,so my mother had to stand outside and soil herself in the most appauling way. This is unacceptable in this day and age. Sometimes rules have to be bent, Karen obviously has no empathy and should not be in charge of a charity shop. I will name and shame this woman, we all get old, she may at some point need to be on medication like my mother, which entails you needing the loo without much notice, shame on you.what could have been a memorable day out in Whitstable for my ageing mum, was ruined by this unacceptable incident. ,

Be careful, items obviously not as priced. If they think it's more valuable it's taken from you and put out the back. Never had that before, I'll be avoiding in future. I'll be donating my stuff elsewhere.
