Hardworking caring staff, lovely animals (I got to hold loads of kittens! 😆). I volunteered in the cattery and small animal sections during 2019 - mid 2020. Giving them 3 stars because I didn't get to do more than cuddle the animals, play with and sometimes feed them and would've have loved to have done more but wasn't allowed to due to my role I'm assuming. Unfortunately I can't do full time work, which would enable more advanced tasks, as I am unable to work full time due to chronic health issues My main gripe though is that they didn't let me use them as a work reference, claiming that only paid staff have this, which was a shame because I was in need of one and didn't think they'd not allow it. Indeed it was the first time I've heard of a volunteer not being able to use their employer as a reference

Very unorganised today. No fault of the staff working on site today. Hopefully it was just my personal experience.
