FAQ

What is the adoption process for animals at your shelter?

At RSPCA Acomb Shop, we have an adoption application process that begins with an initial consultation to discuss your needs and preferences. You will then fill out an application and meet with one of our adoption counselors who will help match you with a suitable animal. We also conduct home visits prior to finalizing the adoption to ensure the safety and well-being of the animal.

How do you ensure the health and well-being of the pets in your adoption program?

We have a team of experienced veterinarians who conduct thorough health checks and vaccinations for all animals in our adoption program. We also provide regular exercise, socialization, and enrichment activities for our animals to ensure their physical and mental well-being.

How many people can your shelters accommodate?

As an RSPCA shop, we do not have a traditional shelter facility and instead rely on foster homes to care for our animals. Therefore, the number of animals we can accommodate depends on the availability of foster homes.

What is the cost of utilizing your shelter services?

There is an adoption fee for our animals, which varies depending on the species and age of the animal. This fee helps cover the cost of vaccinations, health checks, and other necessary care for the animal while in our program. However, we also offer various resources and support for pet owners, such as low-cost veterinary clinics and behavior consultations, at no cost.

Good charity shop Lots of products However items described were priced wrong, all glasses were discribed as £.0.30 each, except individually priced items, I took 4 to the counter and I was charged £4.00 I did not say anything as I did not want to make a scene and as its a charity I don't mind paying extra, but that's not the point quite naughty in my opinion
