We walked down from Middleton Hall to the RSPB Nature Reserve. At the moment the bluebells are out along the wooded walkway to Middleton Lakes. It's a bit muddy underfoot but with a smell of wild garlic in the air. The paths take you around the lakes where there are plenty of places to observe the birds on the islands and banks. Our walk was about two to three miles, circular route. Recommended.
