Great estuary although best for bird watching in other seasons we still saw a good variety when we went on a July afternoon. Nice big bird hide to view from. Path along carnsew road is narrow and the road is busy so be careful while walking.

A good number of birds seen at low tide. The path that leads around the Carnsew Pool gives good views from all sides with minimal disturbance to the birds. Parking is conveniently situated on the Asda car park. Further down the road is the Ryan's Field area. This has a well defined path around the area. There is a hide at one end of the area, this is well made and well positioned to give good views.

Pretty good as a reserve with a variety of species. No facilities to speak of. Tatty all around. Best access to some areas is to stand in an industrial car park. Disjointed. Lack of signage. And don't even think of going to Hayle.
