Lovely,,,,,clean fishery,,,,safe parking,,,,, Barbel fishing Can be very difficult during daytime,, even chub, roach, bream can be hard to locate ,,,but roving the banks usually pays off,,, Lots of small barbel around this year which is great for the fisheries future, Also New lease holders so the place is looking tidy,, But obviously the lack of bites most days is due to the environmental pressures that are put on our river,,,,,

Haven't been here for some time but the place I remember from many visits years ago has become an overgrown, uncared for Fishery. We were going to have an afternoons fishing but the tackle shop was closed from 1 to 2pm(We arrived at 1.10) The parking area was more like a syndicate Fishery with all its signs regarding things not to do. We didn't bother waiting and went elsewhere . VERY disappointed.

A beautiful place, the Avon is a chalk stream and needs river craft to do well.

Lovely looking stretches of chalk stream but when went it was just too high and coloured I think. Only small stuff caught. Car park gives easy access and fishing shop just round the corner. Will return tho.

An absolutely beautiful stretch of the best looking river in England, you can feel the history as soon as you step foot on the banks. Tough fishing but you accept that the Avon is like that for the quality of its fish if you get one.

Lovely fishery, it didn't get 5 stars as I didn't catch a Barbel 😂 my fault, not the fishery!

The royalty streach is a beautiful place to spend a day, would be a five star venue if only the barble were still abundant, I caught a seven ounce barble let's hope it reaches adulthood.
