    Worst hospital going! Mental health team on site are horrendous. They don't care about your mental health at all. Would not recommend this hospital for neither physical and mental health. The NHS need some serious improvements, don't even deserve 1 star

    Staff are lovely unfortunately very overworked which results in miscommunication. Wait times are long due to this. Healthcare assistants i honestly can not fault, some consultants arent the best and just want people out instead of fixing the problem.

    Sort your admin out! Sent a letter to my father giving him 3 days notice for surgery for an aortic aneurysm, it details that IT is surgery and how to prepare and what to bring and that he'll be in for at least 2-3 days after, my Dad arrives at the day treatment centre of the morning, he is still under the impression that it is the surgery, only to find out its just an angiogram. So the whole family got extremely anxious, missed work and swapped shifts expecting this big surgery, only to be told he's coming home the same day as it was only an angiogram!!! WHY STATE THAT IT'S SURGERY IN THE LETTER!!!!!!!

    Absolutely shocking. I now realise how broken the NHS really is if this hospital's emergency service is representative of the NHS nationwide. I took myself to the hospital and presented as an emergency on the direction of my GP. Waited 2 hours to see a triage nurse, another 2 hours to be seen by a doctor, then nearly 2 hours waiting for a nurse to locate and operate one of the three working ECG machines. Another 3 hours waiting for a doctor to review results before being told to go home by a nurse, and to contact my GP, who then scuttled off offering no explanation. 9 hours - arrived at 5pm left at 2am none the wiser but I suppose no news is good news and I get that after tests I may not have been a true emergency emergency but no-one informed my of any of the test results. An elderly patient asked for assistance to go to the toilet and a nurse told her it wasn't her job to help her. Staff (including doctors) wandering around aimlessly. People sitting in corners saying they are waiting more than 24 hours for a bed to become available and told that if they go home they have to represent to A&E and start the process again. Nurses openly critical of doctors and of some patients as they were brought in to the waiting area - no respect shown re patient confidentiality. People waiting 3 hours in an ambulance before getting into the system. Credit to the ambulance staff bringing patients in and showing care before leaving them, and the one nurse who kept trying to find a doctor to review my case, as well as the helpful secretarial staff member who when I called a week later to find out where my results were. Patient camaraderie in the "fit to sit" waiting area kept everyone's morale up whilst waiting. I don't know what was going on behind the scenes but this experience, and overall lack of patient focus, left me feeling really sad. Something is very badly wrong in management of this hospital.

    I have been having monthly blood tests at the phlebotomy department for over two years and I have never had to wait. My treatment has always been on time and the staff are very helpful, friendly and smiling. Well done all of you

    I'm from Birmingham, and whilst on a short break I broke my ankle. And was sent to the Royal Shrewsbury hospital .a and e were very efficient and speedy. Operated on the very next day A special nod to miss Hever the orthopedic surgeon. I meet some wonderful staff members nurse's, health care.physio.and catering, so thank you Shrewsbury. Also for getting me back to Birmingham safely.

    Had a number of ops here in the last few years, and staff have always been wonderful. Like most hospitals, they are extremely busy often with lines of ambulances outside A&E. Situation has improved recently with changes being implemented to speed admissions.
