Located just before Hayling Island bridge on a quite side road, great location. We walked to the pub from Havant via the old converted Billy Line train line. Great location for the pub n the sea edge. Garden is big and dogs are allowed Inside is small but adequate for a good gathering. Seating outside on the waters edge. You can sit on the wall and put your feet in the sea when the tide is right. Food is good and reasonably priced. Good range of drinks. Team are helpful, friendly and professional.

Delicious and well priced open sandwiches and chips deal. Sadly the Brothers Tutti Frutti cider i chose was exactly like a melted pot of kids popsicles with added infinite E numbers and somehow, yet more sugar, so kinda gross, oh well. The Royal Oak itself is beautiful, well run but parking is up the street slightly as the Oak is effectively on the harbours edge

2nd time visiting now. Ended up here after a cycle on the Hayling Billie line at lunchtime. Food ordered, arrived nice and quickly and as usual tasted very nice. This place is becoming our regular now. A lovely pub and a lovely view whilst having a cold beer on a hot sunny day.

I (politely) queried the quality of a lager, which I thought was flat. Lady behind the bar clearly not happy to have the beer questioned. She tipped my pint into another glass so that it foamed over the top. "Nothing wrong with that," she said. Regrettably, I just took the dripping, now reduced, glass of beer and returned to my table. Not the first time I've had poor service in this pub. They won't be getting another chance.
