Not even worth a star, attended and was checked in at 10.27am with a bleeding open wound on my right hand, told to go over to blue urgent care, to which was left with a open wound and a blood covered towel for over 6 hours before even being seen by triage. Poor medical service by all, can't manage patients, cant manage timing poor consultations and a real shambles to the NHS foundation

Absolutely disgusted with the service! Reception staff were rude and laughing at patients as they waited in the waiting room. Having nurses coming to check my obs every 3 hours just to make me feel like I am getting treated. I am a healthcare professional myself and I was spoken to like I was incompetent. 7 hours of waiting in the waiting room, I was seen to by a doctor who poked my abdomen a couple of times and told me she's not sure what's wrong. She told me to go back to my GP and said we cannot give you a scan because you're young and we don't have the resources! I was sent home without medication or advice. I'm still not well but I know that if I go back there, my health will not be taken seriously! I do not recommend the A&E at all!

Terrible waiting times. Very poor management. Went in at 5 pm came out at 3am. There were not even a dozen patients, but seem totally unprepared to handle these volumes let alone high numbers in case of accidents, natural disasters etc that in other countries' A&E are dealing with. Visiting this place is a traumatic experience for children as well as parents. Government has no money for NHS but plenty for foreign wars.

Shocking. Brought my 77 year old mum to A&E Derby Royal. Still waiting to see a consultant 10 hours later. The staff look Demoralised, overwhelmed, which leads to poor service. Angry even, care and empathy has gone. I could see two consultants covering A&E. One disappeared for over an hour.

Absolutely amazing. From the receptionist, nurses and doctors. The nurse that dealt with my little girl in a&e was just amazing. Explained to us what she needed to do to sort the problem and sorted it. Seen and dealt with very quickly. So very caring and compassionate; made my little girl laugh when she wasn’t feeling herself. These people need to be recognized for the amazing work they do every day, despite what they are up against working for the NHS. Thank you!
