    What could I add? Believe the hype, this museum is one of the best ones in the world. If only it was even larger.. Highly, highly recommended for a visit. Very well and thoughtfully put together exhibitions with a lot to see and learn without it being overwhelming.

    Went last night for a Fawlty Towers night. Couldn’t fault the entertainment. They did their best in a terrible venue. Speakers fed back constantly. Room was echoey so couldn’t hear dialogue. Bar was shambolic. Ran out of some draft straight away and what they had was cloudy and tasted off. Food was ATROCIOUS. Wasn’t told there were other options than the set menu on booking. Someone on our table had soup as the starter. I don’t eat goats cheese so did without as wasn’t told I could have something else. We had two vegetarians on our table. The aubergine dish looked vile. The other vegetarian who declined aubergine was instead offered CHICKEN. No joke. The main course beef was nice but the “dauphinois” potato’s were raw. And not dauphinois either. Dessert was awful. Tasteless and stodgy like over done angel delight. I know it was a fawlty towers night but didn’t expect the service and food to be fawlty towers too. As I say couldn’t fault the actors who made the most of the situation but the venue was a massive let down for the price.

    Leeds Armouries is not only a fantastic museum of artefacts threw time but the events they put on are brilliant. From inperson displays and talks within the Armouries building itself, to knights jousting and archery displays in the tiltyard, there's just so much to see! Highly recommended 👌 👍
