Came here Saturday night and had a lane booked for bowling at 7pm, arrived early and decided to order food at 6.30pm. My food arrived just before the lane was ready for us so took my food to the lane. My friends food, which was ordered straight after mine, hadn't arrived so at 7.05pm asked where it was to say sorry it had been missed and would be 10 minutes. By 7.20pm the food still hadn't arrived and on chasing was told sorry the chef had made it wrong and was refiring and it would be 5 minutes - by 7.35pm we had finished our bowling and still no food. Again upon chasing was told it would be 5 minutes and did indeed arrive in 5 minutes. When querying about a refund for the wait which was OVER AN HOUR for a hot dog, the waitress went upstairs to the manager to ask and was sent her back downstairs to say that the kitchen is busy and nothing can be done for waiting over an hour for a hot dog. The fact that an order can be placed immediately after mine and arrive almost 1 hour later yet the manager thinks that's acceptable is absolutely absurd to me but what's actually worse is that whoever manages this establishment thinks its acceptable to not speak to a disgruntled customer and instead send a young member of staff back to a customer with their message - shame on you, disgusting customer service. Having worked in front facing hospitaly for 10 years of my career, I have never worked alongside a manager who would not come and personally speak to an unhappy customer. The food was unfortunately not worth the money or the wait and the bowling was as good as you'd find in any bowling alley with a lack of atmosphere or really anything about the place. Shame as really had high hopes for our first visit to a Roxys and now not looking forward to the fact I'm heading to Nottingham Roxys in 3 weeks time - let's hope their management of the establishment and atmosphere makes up for this pitiful one.

Pretty cool place, but the price of food and drink was expensive. I know this is in town so prices will be Highclere, but the quality was not good. I had a long island ice tea, which just tasted like rum with soda water, and my friend ordered a pint of beer that tasted like cider. When we asked if it was the wrong drink, we were told it was right, but the beer was just 'off'. At nearly £7 a pint, you don't expect this.
