Attended for an appointment which was supposed to be at 4pm, however got called at 3.15pm to say to arrive now as the Dr was free. Arrived at 3.35pm, wasn't seen until 4.20pm. Had to have an unpaid break from work. Although the systems were down this is a poor excuse that Dr Oliver Priest had not viewed the GP referral letter or any of the notes as booked for weeks. I politely asked to postpone approx 10 minutes in and he said absolutely not. Due to this he prescribed a drug that has already been tried which was ineffectual, which if he'd have read the GP letter he would have known this. Stated that a scan may be required, asked if he could refer into the NHS as I've had multiple appointments before at Rowley where the Dr has referred into the NHS, I was polite throughout but he actually said to me "I'm not arguing with you". I don't pay £6.50 per minute to be spoken to like that. Made an official complaint, received a call from Matthew Holland who promised to call me back the next day and didn't. To add insult to injury I've received a bill today and another appointment already booked with Priest which we do not wish to have. I'm awaiting a call back, I suppose they will call after this review is posted. Will never use Rowley again, only Nuffield. What a sad state of affairs that we pay above 6.50 per minute and they haven't even downloaded or printed off vital information before the appointment. I am a band 6 NHS nurse, we are not totally reliant on one system otherwise the service would collapse. Invest in better management Rowley.

I recently had surgery at Rowley Hall and the staff were superb. My consultant Ms Vidya was very reassuring and her professionalism throughout was great. The nurses and anaesthetists who looked after me pre op and post op took time to look after me and nothing was too much trouble. Well done to Ms Vidya and her team

I went in for a procedure on 10th January 2023. I was discharged on the evening with no follow up. I am an NHS patient. I started showing signs of infection and got in touch with the ward who told me this was normal. The next day, it was confirmed as an infection. Which is still ongoing 19 days later at the time of writing. I'd like to add that I have called Rowley Hall multiple times. I have either not reviewed an answer, or told it was normal despite my GP saying otherwise I went to my doctors again upon finishing the course of antibiotics. The infection had cleared up but I am still in a significant amount of pain. The doctor stated I require an urgent appointment with the hospital where I had the procedure. This is Rowley Hall. The doctor sent them a message saying I need an urgent appointment and also told me to call as well. This is what I did when I got home. I called Rowley Hall and spoken to a staff member. During the call, I felt as if she was unwilling to help and was quite rude. I explained the situation in full and stated I had been told I needed an urgent appointment to see a Urologist, preferably the doctor who did the procedure. I called on 27th January and the best "Urgent" appointment she could offer me was the 28th February. I stated this isn't good enough and that I required an urgent appointment for as soon as possible. Once again I repeated that this was stated by my doctor and I needed to be seen by yourselves and you conducted the procedure. She managed to then get an appointment for 7th February, which was a week and a half away at the time of calling. Again, this clearly isn't good enough. I stated I needed an appointment urgently and the receptionist was unable to help me further. I asked for her name multiple times, due to how I had been spoken to, and asked to go through to the complaints department. I was informed that there is no complaints department and that I would have to go through to the secretary. She did not initially provide her name despite repeat requests and transferred me through. It rang out and I was returned to speak to her as nobody was in. Once again I requested her name and eventually she provided it. Throughout the call, I felt that she did not wish to help. I have felt that, since I have had the procedure, I have been ignored by Rowley Hall Hospital. No further help has been provided to me and nobody has been interested in seeing me. I have been, and am still, in absolute agony. I am in physical pain with this issue and nobody wants to know from Rowley Hall which is appalling. Not only has this affected my physical health, but has also severely impacted upon my mental health. This procedure and the events afterwards have caused me extreme stress. I have been unable to continue with life as normal, most days having to lie or sit in one position as it is just too painful to move. I am normally an active person, so not being able to even leave the house has impacted upon my mental wellbeing. Whilst I accept that I was aware I would be recovering for the first week, it is unacceptable for this to have gone on this long with no help, or support, from Rowley Hall. I have had to have extended time off work too. I have not yet returned and do not know what impact this may have on my role. I have no confidence in this Hospital at all. I think the service provided is disgusting and feel that Rowley Hall have no care, or regard, for their patients. I have put a complaint into Rowley Hall as I am not happy with how I was treated throughout my dealings with them. I would not recommend this hospital to anyone. Looking through reviews, it seems to be a common theme with NHS patients. I have been let down by Rowley Hall. If you want an easy and stress free experience, do not use this hospital.

Wouldn’t recommend. Was referred to Dr Rao, my appointment was at 10:30 and I was out and back in my car at 10:32 His options for me, option 1) take paracetamol for the rest of my life. Option 2) nerve blocking injections every few months for the rest of my life. He said he doesn’t know why I’m in pain so they are my options. All this after seeing me for a few minutes. 1 hour drive each way to be told something he could have phoned me for. Cheers for the service
