too expensive and dull of a shop. compared to similar shops in notts. i would reccomend either 33 records or robs records, not terrible though, slightly cheaper than HMV and i believe almost all their inventory is brand new

Been to Rough Trade as a venue a few times. During the Dot To Dot Festival and for record signing acoustic gigs. The sound is really good, it is fully standing but the staff are accommodating and if needed you can bring a seat over the to staging area to sit on. It is well organised and I have never had a problem when visiting. There is a bar which serves a range of drinks at an average price. The staff have always been friendly whne we have visited. I would recommend rough trade and can certainly say I will be visiting as long as they have artists I like and are open 😀

A nice small bar to listen to top bands with some pretty good beer on tap, but boy is it expensive! Think London prices and add on a bit more, but I suspect its because the ticket prices to see the bands only cover the merchandise and nothing else. A proper grungy bar atmosphere straight out of the 90s,with sofas to relax on if you don't fancy the crush for the band.
