Our hosts, John and Kathy, were so wonderfully welcoming, and went above and beyond to make our stay a happy one. Behind the property is a really lovely walk through the countryside into Thirsk through woods and fields, and we had the best fish and chips of our lives in the Thirsk town square. We had fun visiting the old church in the town and the James Herriot house. We would highly recommend this cottage and have many happy memories of our stay there.
