The rooms themselves are pretty decent, the problem itself is the lack of accountability and care for the students. My friend lived here last here, so the next one we moved in. It started with works on the building: instead of having repairs done or started in summer when there's no tenants they waited until the start of the school year, scaffolding across room windows which creates lack of privacy since the builders are always walking around, when asked how long the repairs would take the management said "4/5weeks per wall of the building", however here I am 6 months in and still no privacy since September, if you don't have to wake up at 8 you will still be awoken by the drilling on the walls. Other than that if you at least expect to sleep at night think again: fire alarms are pulled every other night at 1/2am and even with security guards on every door the problem continued for 4 months, it apparently also happens every year. Even when the fire alarm isn't pulled by someone it goes off every Tuesday at anytime from 10am to 3pm. Lastly the management team is awful, not the reception team, the management. In spite of the repairs and the fire alarms me and 2 friends still wanted to rebook for next year, after contacting the management in December we were stringed along and told they would be taking students the next year, they told us room prices and kept telling us to just wait a few more days until the bookings were open, this went on from mid December to beginning of February when it was actually revealed to us we couldn't book since all rooms were bought/rented by a company that we "could rebook through", when asked which company they said they couldn't tell us and were extremely unsympathetic and unapologetic about the situation they put us in (having no place to stay for the next year because in the middle of a housing crises they kept stringing us along instead of being honest so could look somewhere else). Book at your own risk. A month after I'm editing this review because the problems keep on coming. The accommodation is basically kicking out tenants of specific houses 2 months earlier than what they've signed a contract for, the way they say it with such "grace" makes me think that this happens every year. According to emails our "room is no longer available" to us, that seems unfair for I have entered a legally binding contract for this room for longer than what i am being allowed. They are offering to love us into another set of buildings in their property, the problem with this is that we spent a whole year waiting for scaffolding to be taken down and now, when our windows will finally be free, we're being moved to a building that just got scaffolding put up. Paying for windows you can't use. There is also a problem with peeping toms sneaking into the property (or living here not sure) that take advantage of the scaffolding to look into peoples windows on every floor. Im assuming that even with no scaffolding this would happen on the ground floor.
