My sister was absolutely thrilled with her surprise high tea for her 70th birthday celebrations. All of our guests were so well looked after by the friendly and efficient staff who unobtrusively kept the food and tea supplies flowing. The food was fabulous and the crockery made the occasion even more special. Couldn’t recommend Jen and her team highly enough from the first contact to the final wash-up, we knew we were in the hands of experts!

Jen who runs the business is a joy to deal with, efficent, quick to respond and a lovely person. Each event has gone perfectly and we have had brillaint feedback from those who enjoyed the events - the scones and cakes in particular are to die for and all home made! Booked Room Forty for an afternoon tea for my wife and I and a group of friends. It was a first rate experience and great fun. A vintage afternoon tea complete with vintage tablecloths, candelabra's, china and even parlour games delivered to our home. Proper leaf tea's and fabulous catering which had all been home made and home baked to an incredibly high standard. Every aspect was quality. Brilliant, thank you and we cannot wait for next time!

Jen from Room Forty was great at helping me to organise my father's wake. It was a difficult time for us and she made the experience stress free particularly given we were uncertain about numbers. Knowing it was all under control was very reassuring. On the day Room Forty provided excellent service, crockery and linens and the sandwiches cakes and scones were all lovely. A special mention for the sausage rolls, tea loaf and not too sweet chocolate cakes. Guests were very complimentary about everything and the best thing is I know dad would have loved it all.

Last week I ordered a buffet for a work event from Room Forty. We were absolutely delighted with the amount and range of food provided! the homemade coleslaw, potato salad and cheese board particularly went down a treat! I would definitely recommend Room Forty to anyone wanting an amazing buffet!

We wanted a beautiful afternoon tea for my Mum's funeral and after reading the reviews we contacted Jen at Room Forty. From our first telephone conversation we knew she understood what we wanted and she didn't disappoint. We were catering for 125 people which wasn't a problem. The afternoon tea was absolutely delicious and the service superb. Everyone commented how lovely it was, with many people leaving with cakes & scones to enjoy at home. Thank you Jen and all your team for giving Mum the party she deserved. Our only disappointment was our lovely Mum wasn't there to enjoy it. She would have loved it!
