The house itself is lovely, beautiful gardens and lovely location.. just a shame the owners live next door.. the owners requested us to go indoors or ‘laugh, but quietly’ on the evening we arrived at 8.30pm, we were sat outside around their pool in the 20 degree heat. We were good guests, who went inside when asked (even though the request was ridiculous at 8.30 in the evening..) The owner was unbelievably rude when requesting we quietened down, calling my friend ‘aggressive’ for just questioning why were being asked to move. We were not even there the evening after as we felt uncomfortable to stay on site in a property to we had paid to hire! We were tidy and cleaned everything for the owners including organising our recycling etc. We also told Charlotte prior to coming what we were coming to do, we were not a raucous hen do, we were five grown women catching up after 18 months of being locked down. How disappointing, I actually recommended the property and Charlotte and Rupert to multiple other people on return but I will renege that now after seeing her badmouth us as a group. I was willing to let it slide but the fact that you and Rupert ‘popped in’ at every opportunity (“can we take all your China, can we get a high chair, we are having a tradesperson in while you relax around the pool to put an iron gate in”) was not the correct etiquette for an air Bnb host.. if you have a group of people who have paid to hire your property, leaving them to it would be the most polite thing to do. You were also both coming on to the coach house site to knock on the back doors whilst one of the guests was still undressed early morning, in the downstairs room you’d set up for her to be comfortable. I don’t think that made her comfortable at all. You clearly have a lack of experience with this and are not comfortable with others sharing your property, but you have chosen this route and you should be aware of people wanting to have a good time whilst respecting your property.. Hugely disappointed. I could go on but I think it’s probably wasted on you, I had the decency not to put this on your review page initially as I think it was probably a lack of experience on your part and poor people skills that led to the minor Issue on the first night but here we are..! Good luck with your Air Bnb career..

Not much colour though it is mid season. Could have some Japanese anemones, dahlia etc. Lots of weeds around and I would have liked to go around with my secateurs - maybe they 're leaving the dead heads for the birds! Loved the miscanthus around the pond and the willow arch.
