Julie and her team are all so lovely. The amount of care and love that they give the greyhounds is outstanding. If we had a house big enough, we’d be adopting so many, but we can only handle one at the moment. My partner and I like to volunteer to walk the hounds every weekend, because we love to see those smiles 🐶 gives us a chance to take our Hound with us, as she loves to say hi to Julie. Thank you all at RGOA!

When the time finally come to get another dog after the agony of losing our old Golden Retriever at the age of 13, I must admit that a retired greyhound wasn`t exactly top of our list of chosen dogs to have. However, we didn`t want to go through the puppy stage and whilst the idea of getting a rescue dog interested us, the thought of getting a dog that through no fault of it`s own possibly didn`t like our small grandchildren slightly put us off. So we turned to looking at re-homing a greyhound. A Google search led us to RGOA and we arranged a visit on a Saturday morning. Julie, Barry, Gary and in fact everyone we met there were so friendly and with Gary`s help we walked a couple of greyhounds on their morning walk and our minds were instantly made up. From start to finish, Julie & Barry have fully supported us throughout our quest to re-home a greyhound and I`m delighted to say that the dog we chose not only come to us in a fabulous condition which is a credit to their dedication and hard work, but he has also settled in beautifully and he loves us and the grand children too in equal measures, and that`s all thanks to everyone at RGOA. If you are thinking of re-homing a greyhound, then please get in touch with them and go walk one (or Two!!!) & hopefully you`ll get a loyal friend for life. And even if you can`t take one home with you, then you can always help them at RGOA by becoming a regular dog walker for them and experience the benefit of enjoying these great dogs without full ownership. Thanks again to all at RGOA. Paul & Lynn.

Lovely volunteers and, of course, greyhounds. I would adopt all of them if I had the space! A weekly walk will do for now, the greyhounds love it.
