I hate posting negative reviews, but avoid Romans unless you're a landlord. :( I had an incredibly disappointing time dealing with Romans whilst trying to find a flat. At first it seemed great, I requested a viewing/information on a flat I saw on Rightmove, and the man who I spoke to on the phone was absolutely lovely, and incredibly courteous. It looked like I'd found a great property, with a nice team backing it. Dreamy! But no... All down hill from there. The viewing was postponed several days later than I would've liked, meaning I couldn't get my offer in when I would've needed to, as you can't make an offer prior to a viewing. The reason for the delay was the tenant forbade it, perfectly understandable. The man showing us around the property, I think his name was Liam, was dreadful. I'm assuming it was an off day for him, because he was in an absolutely foul mood and the entire viewing was beyond awkward. He was disinterested and knew little about the property. To begin with he didn't seem to know how to get into the place - not even being able to pop in a code to get into the building. When viewing the property (which had been advertised as UNfurnished) we were surprised to be told the landlord would like to keep it furnished... No thanks. He could barely answer any basic questions, and was dreadfully pushy about the 'no deposit' option, which bumps your rent up fifty quid, and is 'better for landlords'. It seems like nothing short of a scam for the tenant. I asked about the possibility of keeping a pet, and that's an extra tenner a month. Really? £120 a year extra? For what? Surely the deposit covers this? Oh wait, they'll try and push no deposit on you. Red flag. After I viewed the flat I was phoned up, and told another party had made an offer. I felt pressured into making an offer there and then, which I did. I phoned back the next morning to review my offer, where I was told the other offer had been accepted. This would've been fine had I not asked them to call me back if the other offer fell through. Which it did. And the flat went back on Rightmove. For a cheaper rate. Lo and behold - I didn't get a phone call. If this is how they'd treat a potential tenant, I don't even want to think how they'd treat you if you actually rent through them. I'm just gutted about the whole ordeal. :( (I've never heard positive things from people trying to sell with them either...)

I booked a viewing at 12:30 Saturday afternoon, on the day of the viewing at 10:30 I had an email asking me to confirm if I was attending the viewing otherwise it would be cancelled, I missed the email and turned up at the property, waited for 30 minutes wondering why no one had turned up, called the office no one answered. Came home to find the email. Very poor customer service.
