I would like to thank the Lettings Staff for their assistance in the rental of a property for my granddaughter. A specific mention must be made to Hollie Evans who was thoroughly professional in the negotiations with the landlord and kept us informed of every step along the way. Without her assistance we would probably have missed the deadline for the signing of contracts. I would strongly recommend making Romans of Farnborough your first port of call if you are looking to rent a property in the area.

I tried to contact the agency but never had a response from Nikki Salmon the manager so I am sharing my really bad experience here. I was booked to see a property at 12:45, when I arrived there, I had to wait for over 30m on the outside as the person seeing the house before me saw the house first and just after him seeing the house he asked his wife to go and take a look, it means, they have not respected their time slot, the Estate Agent was with her back against the door, completely ignoring us or even saying “I am sorry can you pls wait”, it is a Saturday and we had other appointments through the day. The Estate Agent was chatty, answering queries and even gave a leaflet with the properties details and a card to the couple driving a fancy car. When she saw me she said: “So many people, wow!”, the property in question is a 4 bedroom house, it was me, my husband and my parents, that was extremely rude. She asked us to leave for the side door and not the main door as the couple seeing the house before us and she said: “if you have any questions call the office on Monday”. This is all she said to us! A very different treatment that the couple before us had. We all know we were discriminated against at that point. As this was not already enough, I emailed an offer to Hollie Evans asking that we were happy to amend our offer to secure the house, she NEVER even acknowledged the email. In the absence of Hollie’s contact, I called Romans and placed an offer over the phone, the person which I spoke to did not ask the property address or any other details, which was quite odd, it really seem no one was taking me serious enough. Since I have not heard anything since Monday, I decided to call to have an update, Hollie Evans once more treated me with disrespect showing she just did not care for the lack of contact. I am sorry, but this is not how someone should be treated, Hollie should at least apologised for the lack of communication, but she didn’t and she said we were not the right people for the property, how come she can say something like that? Once more I was discriminated against, I asked her to talk to her manager, she refused to give me your phone number or email address, I said that due to the fact that Romans Farnborough failed with me before, I wanted to have your details and contact you instead of waiting for a call, she just gave me your name, I asked her to spell Nikki as it could easily be Nick and she refused to do so, I had to Google you to find her details, I’ve emailed the agency 10 days ago and never had a response. My family was discriminated against and this has made my mother cried and caused a lot of emotional distress.

Moved into our rental during covid. There was blood all over the walls. Romans didn't care and made us clean it ourselves. Now we are moving out and they are trying to charge us hundreds for replacement lightbulbs, even though the issue is with the landlords wiring. Only care about the landlord. Scum bags
