I saw that a number of Victorian terrace properties owned by neighbours were insulated with EWI by Rockwarm so I contacted them for a quote. From the first visit by Andy to discuss what I wanted through to the work being carried out, occasional site visits by Jonathan, speaking to Tracy in the office through to sign off, I have found the company to be a delight to deal with. Always professional to speak with and cleaning up each day on site. I’m so impressed I’ve asked them to carry out some more work for me. I would definitely recommend this local company.

Some noise when doing building work is unavoidable and i understand drilling and banging but turning the stereo upto 11 isnt necessary. Neighbor is having it fitted across the street, working at the back of our house inside the house with the windows shut and the music they are playing is so loud that i can hear the lyrics! Went to see the contractor and they just ignored us, probably couldnt hear us over there music. Tried to call rockwarm and they are shut. If they are so unprofessional about there working environment then it says something about how they recruit and train there staff.

I had been looking to get some top up loft insulation put into one of my properties, so I contacted this company. The property is a one bedroom town house with a loft space of 20 sq m: only about 16 sq m required covering because I did not wish the walkway to be covered. The loft was empty and clean, and has easy access. On the 10-08-2021, I got their quote: £675 (incl. of 5% VAT) for laying down 200 mm of knauf loft insulation AND they ask for 50% in advance.. NO doubt this will be substantially more when we return to the full 20% VAT. I find companies that charge these astronomical amounts quite disgusting. In the end, I got the job done for about £250, which included the cost of the knauf (£100). ACCORDING TO THE ENERGY SAVING TRUST, the typical cost of loft insulation in an average semi-detached house is £300. Depending on your home, this could be more or less: the price goes up to £395 for a detached house and down to £285 if you live on a terrace. Look around because there are reasonably priced competent people who do this sort of work to the same standard as these companies that charge unreasonable amounts of money - don't be a victim to greedy companies. Companies like this should know that not everyone is a fool. This comment has been made purely for information purposes.

We have just had the front and side of our house insulated. It's transformed the appearance of the house completely. People living nearby have commented on how nice it looks. There's quite a lot organisation needed to get the various stages complete but the office staff keep you well informed. All Rockwarm employees are a pleasure to work with. We will see what difference it makes to the warmth of the house come winter.
