  Bought my dream dress in Chelmsford this weekend after such a wonderful experience. I’ve been to a few other wedding shops closer to where I live and was met with mystery pricing and sample sizes that didn’t go beyond a European size 12, so I couldn’t properly try them on. RTF was totally a totally different experience, they asked questions via a contact form before I came in the door, and were prepared with the one I wanted to try in and suggestions on what I could wear with it. It was a sensible size so I could actually put clothes on that fitted me, and the prices were on the tags so I knew exactly what we were spending. Not to mention I wanted something colourful and there just isn’t anything like these dresses elsewhere. Thank you so much for making my time with you so perfect!

  I had an amazing 5-star experience at RTF Essex! Amy consistently went above and beyond throughout both my appointments, had fantastic communication in between, and was overall incredibly friendly, supportive and insightful - and is the reason I found my dream wedding dress, thank you SO much! I would recommend RTF & Amy to everyone and anyone wanting a relaxed, down-to-earth wedding shopping experience, for unique dresses in a beautiful private appointment space :)

  Opted to try Rock the Frock for my sisters first look at wedding dresses as she was looking for something a bit different and wasn’t sure where to start… shop was lovely and selection of alternative dresses was refreshing compared to most traditional bridal shops, but the customer service from Amy was by the far best part of the experience. Amy was outstanding, very approachable and made us all feel very relaxed and at ease. We felt very lucky to have had Amy for our appointment, as she went above and beyond to meet our needs and spoke so passionately about the vision of the shop and supporting all different types of brides, no matter their style. A very warm and memorable trip that was well worth the long journey!

  AVOID AVOID AVOID – HELD MY MONEY – SHOCKING CUSTOMER SERVICE Would give ZERO STARS if I could. I purchased a dress in August (for end of Feb wedding). Had to constantly chase for updates. Eventually got an appointment to try on the dress. The dress was not only FAULTY but also 5 inches TOO SHORT to what was ordered. No one from the actual company bothered to turn up on the day of my dress-fitting appointment so was sent home from the shop by the seamstress (not employed by the shop) who said that the owner would contact me. Had to wait almost 2 hours for a call back (the owner knew this issue was ongoing from the moment we knew there was an issue). Was told that they had ordered a new dress. I said that I did not want this, I wanted an immediate refund. The owner point blank refused and said it was ‘their right to be given the opportunity to make it right’. Sent an email a day later to request a refund and say that the decision to refund is not down to them if the dress is FAULTY and TOO SHORT to what was ordered. Once again refused a refund over email (the reply I got was very unprofessional and ultimately very rude). I then contacted Citizen’s Advice to confirm it is my consumer right to receive a refund and I emailed the owner back to tell her this. I then don’t hear from the company for TWO DAYS (bear in mind they still have a LOT of my money) and threaten to escalate the issue further. I am then told nearly TWO DAYS later I will get a refund and that a dress has not been ordered. I then do not hear from the company for another THREE DAYS (and they still have my money) and I eventually received it back but £50 short. This matter is still ongoing. DO NOT BE PRESSURED BY THESE PEOPLE – YOU ARE ENTITLED TO A REFUND - AND CHECK YOUR DRESS WHEN YOU RECEIVE IT!!!

  Unfortunately due to absolutely horrendous post sale customer services I have had to amend a previously glowing review to one star. The experience of finding my wedding outfit was great but the skirt turned up damaged a few days before the wedding. The shop arranged for this to be fixed but I had to do the running around to get it done. The shop agreed that the skirt turned up in an unacceptable state and made a complaint to the supplier. That was four months ago and I have endlessly chased and had nothing back. This is completely unacceptable especially as the skirt was very expensive and more than I’ve ever spent on an item of clothing.

  Had a fantastic time trying on dresses with my fiance. This was our first bridal shop we both had ever been to with ideas that differed from traditional so we were nervous about being able to communicate our concept. Amy was very warm and welcoming, made us feel at ease and perfectly understood the vibe we were going for. And I ended up buying the very first dress I tried on - talk about efficiency ;)

  Absolutely loved my try on session here! They really listen to what you say, nothing is too much trouble, and they are so down to earth it's unbelievable. Great variety of dresses, including a mix of traditional and truly alternative. Highly recommend!
