FAQ

What is the process for becoming a foster parent with your agency?

To become a foster parent with our agency, interested individuals must attend an initial information session where they will learn about the requirements and responsibilities of foster parenting. After attending the session, they will fill out an application and undergo a home study and background check. Once approved, they will receive training and be matched with a child in need of a foster home.

What type of training and support do you offer to foster parents?

We offer a comprehensive training program to our foster parents that covers topics such as child development, behavior management, and trauma-informed care. We also provide ongoing support through regular check-ins, access to counseling services, and peer support groups.

How are placements made and how is the matching process conducted?

Placements are made based on the needs of the child and the strengths and abilities of the foster parent. Our social workers carefully assess each child and foster parent to ensure a good match. We also take into consideration the preferences of the foster parent and the child, such as age range and gender.

How do you ensure the safety and security of your clients?

We take the safety and security of our clients very seriously. All of our foster parents undergo a rigorous screening process, including background checks and home studies. We also provide ongoing support and monitoring to ensure that the child is safe and thriving in their foster home.

What is the ratio of caregivers to clients in your facility?

We do not operate a facility, but rather place children in individual foster homes. The ratio of caregivers to clients varies depending on the needs of the child and the number of foster parents available. Our social workers work closely with each foster family to ensure that the child is receiving the appropriate level of care and support.

Need to update there systems. Very poor understanding of humans. These trained workers should try learning some psychology because there's nothing social about them services. You can tell if someone has love for there job or they just can't wait to get promoted and well most of these people are a great example of "pen pushers".

I dealt with an ex stalking and harrassing me, police involved social services one year. They actually did really well, they offered me a lot of support for both me and my children, came to court with me too. I know some can be horrid but the ones who helped me were really supportive got me back on my feet.
