    Be careful with your deposit, when you rent a house from them, at the end of your tendency, they try all the means try not give you your money back. My suggestion is photograph everything from the beginning of your tendency and email to them, just for evidence. Also make proper inventory at the beginning of your tendency

    Absolutely horrendous company to deal with in every respect. Myself and my partner are both first time buyers, to which we placed an offer on a property, which Robin Jones were advertising, on behalf of a buyer. We were told it had been on the market previously but the sale had fell through as the previous prospective buyer couldn't get their mortgage approved on time. We were also reassured that the previous survey came back all clear and there we no issues on the seller's side, or with the property in general. We were also told that the seller's didn't want a long drawn out sale that would cause additional stress. After placing an offer (with a large additional incentive to secure a quick sale) we began the process of purchasing the property. Trying to secure a mortgage on the property, our lender's survey highlighted there was potentially some issues with the property. We then paid for an independent surveyor to come in and conduct a survey. This survey highlighted that there may be some potential issues with the property that required further investigation. We informed Robin Jones, who pleaded with us to share the survey with them, which we did as a good will gesture and an act of transparency. 48 hours later we were informed that we had caused 'a significantly emotional situation that was impacting the seller's health' and as such they had to pull out of the property sale. After calling Robin Jones to find out more details, we were told that the previous buyer had mysteriously turned up at the office over the past 48 hours (unannounced), with their newly approved mortgage in hand (to which, their survey had coincidentally not raised any issues, despite both of ours raising almost 15 A4 pages of concerns), and that the buyer had instantaneously switched to accepting their offer instead (whilst the house was still sold to us, subject to contract). All in all, this shambles of a process has left us ~£1200 out of pocket, as first time buyers, due to the sheer lack of transparency from Robin Jones and extremely poor handling of what was clearly a very sensitive situation that we had no need to be involved in. Much Appreciated!
