Such a fun and educational time, firstly we called to ask if we could arrange a time outside of the schedule online and they were happy to do so. Then when it came to the actual lesson Max answered every question we had with enthusiasm and expert knowledge as well as getting us from being completely unaware of the coffee making process to making flavoursome and consistent drinks within 3 hours! if you are looking to get into barista work i can’t recommend this training enough.

Having just visited Richard at Roasted on a professional level, I was offered a coffee during our meeting. It was easily the best coffee I have ever had! So full of flavour and left me wanting more. We did a Home Brewing barista course at the Roasted headquarters in Henfield. Luke was really helpful and engaging and we have come away more enthusiastic about coffee brewing at home! There was plenty of coffee samples to try and hands-on experience of the brewing techniques. We would highly recommend this course!

On the 12th of March, Roasted provided a brilliant coffee experience day for me and the social enterprise that I volunteer for: The Alternative Coffee Company. Max was extremely flexible regarding the content of the experience day and curated the day's activity in accordance to our specific interests. The trip began with Max explaining, in detail, the process from bean to cup taking great care to answer all of our questions thoroughly. We then moved on to trying the coffee. All the team were given the opportunity to try numerous different types of blends and single origins whilst Max expertly guided us through the process of 'cupping': recognising tasting notes and 'slurping' like a true coffee connoisseur. Finally we were shown how to make a barista style coffee with varying degrees of success! Overall, we had a brilliant time. Max was an excellent host and obviously an expert coffee man!

Spent a thoroughly enjoyable afternoon with Max perfecting my hand brewed techniques and left with a lovely bag of Villamaria Columbian coffee. Espresso course next! Great facilities, nice to see an EK43 in the flesh!

I really enjoyed the 2 hour barista training session. Luke was very passionate about coffee, really knowledgeable and tailored the session to my needs. He also made me feel comfortable and confident. Overall, I found it really interesting and was pleased to produce a decent coffee at the end of it!
