I've been training at Roar Kensington over the past couple of years. This time it was a top-up 12 training sessions with a new trainer for me Alex Berry - who was absolutely brilliant. Thank you Alex for pushing me every time we worked together to exceed our previous sessions. But you did it so 'subtly' and always with a sense of fun. You made every session a really enjoyable experience and the results were exactly what I was aiming for. Thanks and of course, I'll see you again.

The Roar fitness online program has exceeded all expectations! The attention to detail despite being remote and abroad for the whole for the course was amazing. A big thanks to my trainer Tom Bevan. Tom's a fantastic trainer, has been brilliant to work with and really goes the extra mile explaining everything and making the best program possible. He was able to cater the program to my old injuries, and put extra enphasis on areas to be improved. The experience has been so good I plan on doing another 12 week progam in a months time. If you're contemplating this, just do it, its been a brilliant experience and im confident you wont regret it!! 💪

I started training at Roar in March this year, signing up to the 12-week program, with Alex A for fitness and Jack for nutrition. Both are great fun to be around as well as being knowledgeable, experienced, and supportive. I was a bit nervous beforehand as I hadn’t been in a gym for over a decade and had no idea what weights I could lift. But between Jack (who did the initial assessment) and Alex A, they made me so relaxed. The atmosphere in the gym is so encouraging, and everyone is genuinely interested in how others are progressing. Alex is a brilliant trainer, he is so motivational and pushes me to the limit whist knowing when to stop. I often said to Alex at the beginning that I was worried I’d drop the weights as they were so unfamiliar, but he’s been so patient and given me confidence. So much so, I’m now lifting weights that I didn’t think was possible. He takes the time to provide explanations behind each of the movements and shows me how to improve my technique. I also travel a fair bit with work and Alex has been very flexible on timings, of which I’m extremely grateful for. I see Jack every 3 weeks to discuss nutrition. He's always so approachable and friendly! My lifestyle means I can’t be super strict 100% of the time, but he’s been really helpful with alternative suggestions and making sure I make the best choice in a situation, even if it’s not perfect. Believe me, I never thought I’d be the person who looks forward to the next gym session, but thanks to Alex and Jack, it’s been such a positive experience and I can’t recommend it enough. I simply cannot overstate the positive and transformative effect that Roar has had on my life. Prior to Roar, I had always felt that the gym was a space I did not have access to. Occasional attempts to work the gym in to my routine inevitably ended in failure when my own lack of understanding resulted in limited benefits and motivation inevitably begin to fail. Not so with Roar! Working with Alex Amies in the gym, my 12 week programme was tailored and constantly adjusted to cater to my specific goals and needs. As someone who was an absolute novice in the gym, Alex’s instruction and insight were invaluable and his friendly and approachable manner meant I was always felt comfortable asking questions about what we were doing and why. When I return - and I will return - it will be to work with Alex once again. Outside of the Gym, nutrition was handled by Alex Smith who similarly was always ready to discuss my fitness goals and help me to understand what we needed to do in terms of nutrition in order to achieve them. I should also note that Alex handled my initial objective discussion and induction and made every effort to make me feel comfortable at Roar from the moment I stepped through the door. Since Roar I have continued to train three to four times a week, keeping up my motivation as I work towards more long term goals. My 12 weeks at Roar provided a solid foundation for my fitness journey and demonstrated just how much could be achieved with persistent effort and determination. I am indescribably grateful to both Alexes and the wider team at Roar for all their help and support and, as someone who once upon a time used to loathe the gym, I genuinely cannot wait to get back for a second 12 week programme in the very near future.

I’ve trained a few times over the past 6/7 years and having recently started a new 12 week session I can confirm this places just gets better and better. This time training with Aidan who has the usual Roar enthusiasm and expertise allowing me to get the most out of every session. He knows exactly when to push and his clear in depth knowledge of all things training is a huge benefit. All the time making it enjoyable yet challenging. Love the atmosphere in the place which is always so positive and can’t wait to continue my training.

I enjoy working out with my trainer, Kai! He is professional and very fun to work with! Always on time. Easy scheduling and very accommodating with changes as I travel often. When I travel, Kai added videos of training to follow online which is not the same as having a personal trainer, but the second best option. If I could add though, I would strongly suggest the owner of Roar to provide all trainers a small tablet because although I appreciate Kai adding all of my workout history in detail, it would be smoother on a tablet than a computer and save time for everyone.
