Pre-booked a taxi the night before from Kippax. Train wasn't until 9.15 from Garforth to Manchester airport so booked a taxi for 8.45. Checked on the app and it was still showing as 'looking for driver' at 8.40. Rang Roadrunners who assured me that the taxi would be there on time. Got to 8.45 and no taxi had turned up. Roadrunners insisted the taxi would be there shortly. I was starting to panic as we needed to catch this train otherwise the chance of us making our flight from Manchester was in jeopardy (lots of trains were being cancelled) so I booked an Uber. By this point, Roadrunners stopped answering our calls. Uber arrived at 9.05 and saved the day, getting us to the train station with a minute to spare. Roadrunners app still showing as 'assigning driver' by the time our train left. One of the most stressful experiences and did not get the holiday off to a good start. To think if they'd had been honest from the start and told us they'd messed up and the taxi wouldn't be arriving until an hour later then I would have booked an Uber sooner. No apology from the company. Would avoid at all costs.
