Super freindly staff and atmosphere, definately felt comfortable and as If we were in a more classy restaurant. Food and drink was good too if a little bit pricey but the quality the was there so that's alright, carrots were not peeled or ends cut off but still some people prefer that I guess. We were sat in the porch/gazebo area because we had a dog which is understandable, it was an average day temperature wise but it was quite hot in the gazebo because there are two big space heaters kicking out quite a bit of heat so we turned one off for the duration lol. Overall would definately go again for a nice Sunday roast and probably more during the week. Would not recommend for wheelchair users as there are many steps/stairs throughout and I think the only toilets are upstairs but I could be wrong about that.

If you like everything covered in black pepper then fine! If you like a member of staff arguing with a regular customer saying this is always how we have seasoned the food! When two weeks ago it was not the case and was a very very very enjoyable stress free experience! Beef it stated and waitress said the beef would be pink it was not the beef was tough! Sorry to say today was the most unenjoyable Sunday roast for a very very long time. Chefs blimp probably but being argued with saying this is how we always do it erm no! Not when you have been a regular customer! The waitress are fantastic however just the shame they have been let down by other people!

We stopped by for a Sunday roast. We tried beef, lamb and the vegetarian option, which arrives without potatoes but was quickly rectified. We didn't try the cocktails as we thought they were a bit on the expensive side, and the selection of desserts of the day didn't push us enough, but the meat was juicy and tender, and we are sure that in summer the atmosphere will be much more enjoyable than winter, especially in their outside area/garden that was very nice. It would be lovely to go back in summer.

I booked in with the River Rat for my gender reveal meal with 10 of my family members for food and drinks. They accommodated all of us (especially my dad who is very fussy when it comes to his food), the menu had a great selection of veg meals and meat dishes and my god they delivered. The peppercorn sauce was the best I've ever had and the mushroom starter smelt and tasted incredible. The drinks menu had everything and anything and because I am pregnant they even made me mocktails all evening which tasted delicious. Staff was incredibly professional and accommodating. Shout out to all the kitchen staff for the beautiful food and Dan and Elliot our servers. Very clean and beautiful establishment and would recommend to anyone looking for a hearty, tasty meal. Thank you for making our day extra special.
