Beautiful place for a quick swim. There’s not really a big beach area or anything but a perfect bank to get in and out of the water. You could park yourself at Iford park and walk down to the river. Warmer than the sea, calmer and the bank itself is soft sand so no pebbles or stones to walk across.

You read a lot of reviews about this being a great dog park. Pitty the owners assume eveyone loves dogs and ler then off the lead, which is not allowed in this area by bournemouth council laws. Makes it great for selfish dog owners but horrid for parents od small children
