Riverbrook is a wonderful practice. Despite the crushingly difficult pressures the NHS are facing they still continue to go above and beyond for vulnerable patients. ALL the staff are always so accommodating and amazing- we have been at this surgery for years and they have always done their due diligence (and beyond) with regards to my parent with a long term illness. Dr Chauhan has always been absolutely fantastic and gracious in every way, and my whole family have always appreciated it beyond words. A big thank you to all the staff at Riverbrook.

Getting an appointment and dealing with reception is…frustrating. If you phone at 8.30 you find the phone is engaged, often for hours. When you do get through you are put on hold and given wait times that never reflect the actual time you will be on hold. I have no idea what system they are operating for reception but it’s a bit of a shambles and when you do get through you get the impression they want rid of you quickly and have little patience for you. Samples lost again and again…No explanation as to where the fault lies. On the weekend they phoned me and left a message to call back but didn’t specify who was calling. Once I discovered it was them I returned the call immediately only to find their phone lines were closed so there was no way of returning their call…. The saving grace for me is the doctors have, for the most part, been very good. In particular Dr Tolba and Dr Matar have been very proactive in trying to diagnose my condition. Both have given me their time and tried to be proactive in identifying the causes of my poor health. I just wish I could have continuity of service as I rarely see the same doctor twice so I’m having to repeat the whole situation over and over. The practice also has the ability to take bloods which is something the smaller practices do not do.

used to be a great surgery, now they won't answer the phone, almost impossible to get past the receptionist to get a doctor to call you back. As for a face to face appointment well forget it.

My dad is receiving palliative care while at home. This is his surgery. On 4 occasions I have booked for the GP to call me back so can can provide medication for my dad that keeps him alive. On each occasion they GP failed to call. Also, without assessing my dad that GP signed off my dads medication to end on the 9th April, this will also kill my dad. I have tried to call the GP and no answer. They have lied to me on several occasions and allowing my dad to die without correct assessment. Do not register anyone loved one at this surgery. I will be making an official complaint to close the practice.

First visit here and a wonderful experience it was too, all staff were superb and professional. The centre was extremely clean and tidy and easy to get around. My treatment was excellent with both Dr and nurse friendly and respectful.

Unprofessional and rude staff. It is easier to die than get someone to speak to, even if you manage to book appointment, appointment is useless. Doctors are lacking knowledge, they are unsure about everything, reception is lacking communication skills. If there was -1 star that is what I would give to this worst medical centre in Birmingham! I don't even know if it can be called medical centre because to be one you actually need to provide service and this one is providing nothing but a headache!
