We attended Bongo’s Bingo. Issue 1 - The security levels were higher than an airport. You had to empty all your belongings into a tray, then without permission the security started having a thorough rummage through your wallet. This included opening side compartments which included personal belongings. This set the wrong tone for the event we were attending. Again, they did not ask for permission. Issue 2 - The cheapest alcoholic beverage was £5.50 for a can of Carling. It’s ok though, they do a deal where you can buy 4 for £20! Absolutely had our pants down. This was probably Bongo Bingo’s fault, rather than the venue in fairness. Issue 3 - There were not enough room for everyone even though the tables were packed tightly together, and the middle section was slimmer than any other Bongo’s Bingo event I have attended. The venue clearly sold too many tickets. Issue 3 - Security continued to be strict inside of the venue. I was told “you’ll do it because I’m telling you to, or I’m kicking you out”. This was in response to me politely questioning the reason for an instruction that he had issued. I therefore decided to leave of my own free will before the event had even started. The hostile nature of security and the fact they had our pants down with drink prices made it impossible to be in the right mood. Unless there is some kind of response I will never attend this venue again.

Attended a mega slum event here and it was amazing. The staff were brilliant with someone who has additional needs. Zolly. The manager was accommodating, friendly, answer all the questions we had and couldn't have done any more to make the evening as accessible as possible for us. 10 out of 10 will definitely be visiting again. Can't wait. Sean, the duty manager is also a credit to the place and definitely goes above and beyond.
