I never write reviews. I think they can be insincere (even fake) which can be misleading and unfair. However, I am so grateful to RVC and the way in which the staff care for my father, I am willing to break my rule by writing a few lines. Dad has beautiful accommodation; clean, bright, modern. The first day he walked into his suite (for a taster week - highly recommended) he looked around and said "I could live here". The food is wonderful thanks to Zoe and her team, the cleanliness is unbelievable thanks to Elena and her team, the reception staff are genuinely caring and helpful (thanks to Sandra and her team). RVC is, in a nutshell, to use dad's word "paradise". Dad is happier than he's been for many years ... I am too; my visits with dad are more relaxed - previously I might be sorting out menial jobs or admin which was quite draining for both of us. Ps did I mention dad's diary? It's difficult to find a time to visit - he can be so busy! There are activities every day ... none of which are patronising; lectures, indoor curling, indoor golf and superb Fitness Classes (thank you Courtenay). The gentle fitness classes have resulted in dad gaining strength in both body and mind. I highly recommend you have a chat with either Jonty or Jack the Village Advisors (not at all pushy as in some retirement places) - book an appointment to see for yourselves

I couldn't speak more positively about the Cheltenham Richmond Village! From the moment you walk in - the decor, beautiful scents that you smell, the smiling, wonderful staff, the fresh cake in the lounge areas, the soft music playing. All of these touches are invaluable and set the scene to what is the kindest, most caring and gracious way of living. The staff here go above and beyond and it is clear that it is a vocation for most that work there, giving off the most welcoming and friendly atmosphere. This really is the most unique place and we're blessed to have it here in Cheltenham.

Mum and dad moved to Richmond Village Cheltenham in October 2021. They had a one bedroom suite with a lovely woodland view. This gave them the privacy they needed but with the added benefit of being fully supported, either in their suite or with the restaurant and activities in the village. It feels very luxurious from the time you arrive in Reception and in all areas of the building. But what is more noticeable is that every member of staff and management treats everyone living there with love, care and respect. They have a lot of fun too. The high standards have been maintained all year and there is real pride in making the place welcoming, clean and homely. Sadly my dad passed away and mum needed to move to the care floor. This was done with such care and compassion and mum feels well cared for and looked after. Family and friends can visit whenever they like and are treated as part of the Richmond Village family. We feel very fortunate to have found the Cheltenham Richmond Village and thank every member of staff for all their care and attention.

Richmond Village Cheltenham was recommended by a friend whose aunt was receiving respite care after a fall. She couldn’t have spoken more highly of it and we haven’t been disappointed. My mother has a lovely suite with plenty of room for her own furniture and possessions. She overlooks beautifully maintained grounds. Most importantly, the care is comprehensive and outstanding. There is a full and wide ranging programme of activities for those that are interested. Finally, the restaurant is excellent as is room service. I have no hesitation in recommending Richmond Village Cheltenham.

I just wanted to share a few words on our experience of Richmond Village, Cheltenham. Our parents moved to Richmond Village in November 2020, after selling their home and requiring additional care and support. With two parents that required different levels of care, Richmond Village provide a dual service tailored to their needs. Richmond accommodated them both with Dad being based on the care floor and Mum located in her own beautiful suite. This arrangement allows them to live their lives together whilst removing care duty pressures from mum. Richmond offers luxurious facilities partnered with home touches that allow Mum and Dad to experience the homely feel that they once felt in their own home. For Mum, the variety of activities offered has provided her with the opportunity to meet new friends and take up new hobbies. Whereas for Dad, the professional care, nursing, and support has been outstanding; they have supported both his health and wellbeing, with nothing ever being too much trouble. As a family we are now enjoying visiting our parents, eating in the resturant, and appreciating the grounds. Collectively we are very happy with how both Mum and Dad have settled into their new home. Dad's comments are, 'I wish we had done this five years ago'. We thank all the staff at Richmond for being so kind, helpful, and supportive. What a briiliant team they are!

Richmond Cheltenham came to my rescue at very short notice when an elderly neighbour needed urgent respite care. He was immediately offered superb accommodation despite the difficulties of the pandemic. Their care and attention to detail so impressed him that he has now bought a lovely apartment and has made it his permanent home. The staff are caring and efficient and nothing is too much trouble. I would certainly recommend a visit to see for yourself.
