This is ok. Took the family x 7, quite expensive. Very limited on where you can actually row too. Depending on the tide. If you want to row to a bridge and back then you’ll like it. Guys were friendly & explain everything before you get in the boat. Make sure you don’t have kids / people with you that won’t shout at you because they think they can row better than you. Take a cool box full of beer too.

Very horrible experience this afternoon. Before we even spoke to anyone we were immediately was getting very odd looks from the man on the front desk. My group were refused a boat despite two of us receiving colours for rowing at Bath university. His excuse was something about “not learning on the tide”. This is a term I have not coming across in 3+ years of competitive rowing at the university. Feeling very persecuted

If you're not a professional Olympian - beware, you'll be turned away. Arrogant rentals guy (99% hair gel) explained that we've never learned to row on the tide before, so we couldn't go out. Fair enough. Walked 2 minutes away to ask the guys at Richmond Boat Club whether that's normal - "it's the perfect time to go out". Thanks a lot Hair Gel! Probably saved our lives from the white water rapids !

Me and my good friend paid £20 for a hour which covers both of us at £10 each, we enjoyed the experience it was our first time renting a boat to row. The instructor was very friendly and helpful, lovely gentlemen.
