I purchased a used Skoda Kodiaq online via Heycar. I requested a video of the vehicle asking to show even the smallest scratch or damage. The videos sent were not very good as they didn’t show detail. I had to re-request a few times but even still they weren’t as good as what I have received in the past from other dealers. Before purchase, Mia from Skoda Portsmouth sales team sent me an email which mentioned that they do not sell any cars with dents or scratches. The transactions manager Luke also wanted me to sign a form which mentioned that I should only sign once I have inspected the vehicle. I did refuse to sign this as it was an online purchase which I had not inspected. I decided to go ahead with the purchase as it had everything I was looking for in a vehicle and considering that it will be prepared to Skoda approved standards. However, when I received the car there were a few issues. Firstly the car had not been cleaned from the inside with mud stains and dirt everywhere. Secondly, the car has 4 small dents (approx 1-2 inches in diameter) and a large scratch (approx 5-6cm) which have not been repaired. They advised me that this is part of normal wear and tear, but then why was it not shown to me in the videos when I asked to show even the smallest bit of damage? And why does your policy mention that you don’t sell any cars with dents or scratches? Even a fair wear and tear guidance I looked up online mentions that any dent larger than 1cm diameter is not considered fair wear and tear! Furthermore, the brake pads and discs are in poor condition. I have checked the brakes from kwikfit who have advised that the front pads are 70% worn and rear pads are 80% worn. The rear discs are heavily corroded and front discs are also low. These should have been changed as a Skoda used approved vehicle. I was also not provided with the vehicle health check form (health check likely not even done!) or the user manual which again should have been provided with any used approved car. I have been chasing this up with them but they still have not provided a copy of the form. I always get told (mainly by the sales advisor Sydque but also by a couple of other staff) that I’ll get a call back or the form will arrive in my email by the end of the day but this doesn't happen. Once they have sold you a car, they don’t want anything to do with you. They will not help you in any way and they will only try to make excuses. I would strongly advise everyone to stay away from this dealer! Worst dealer I have ever dealt with, and I have purchased quite a few different cars from dealers in the past. They will probably now read this review and put a reply saying something like “we have passed on the details on to management” or “we are sorry”. But management don’t care and wont do anything, and they are NOT sorry.

We attended the viewing of a car at Richmond Portsmouth and We were greeted by a very polite gentleman called Pete. He took time to show us around the car and advised us on a test drive. We purchased a car and Pete took time to tell us all about the process and arrange to deliver the car to my home address.

Purchased a new car, salesperson didnt explain anything, Louises view seemed to be, the least said the better. Didnt explain what i was signing. No offer of test drive. They dont tell you when you buy car that it will take months and months for build completion, they give a build completion and first registration of 3 months. Waited nearly 4 months, now told 1 month more and probably even longer. Promised call backs , not received. Emails unanswered. Be careful you are not fobbed off and ask everything you need to before purchasing a car and scrutinize what you are about to sign even if they dont explain it. Very good with servicing, but unsatisfactory sales experience. My previous car was purchased here and the sales experience i had then was by far much better including explanation of everything and test drive offered.

Made an appointment to test drive a car with Louise. Took the car out and all seemed ok so I agreed to purchase. 2 days later I was called to say that the car had failed it’s MOT because of the engine management light being on. This was down to a camshaft sensor fault! The sales person didn’t even know what a camshaft was and tried to brush it off as a sensor replacement. I decided to walk away from the sale. I still haven’t had my £100 deposit back for reserving the car despite contacting the sales person directly to notify her. I will be in touch with trading standards regarding the matter. Shocking dealership, I have now bought a BMW elsewhere, save your time and go to a better dealership.

Best car buying experience I have ever had. Very quick to respond, from my first enquiry. All the staff were polite, friendly, helpful and professional. The whole experience from test drive through to purchase, including financial products advice etc was top notch. Not your typical pushy car salesman approach, just honest, straightforward and friendly. Ollie dealt with most of the process and I literally could not fault him on a thing. Luke explained all the financial parts brilliantly and Glenn dealt with my initial enquiry and saw me through to purchase. All of them were stand-out great staff. Could not recommend this place more. Very happy customer!!
