Richard Lawson Pianos have a very impressive showroom with a great selection of upright and grand pianos. Richard and Colin were very accommodating, quick to answer emails and very helpful in giving me the time and space to try a selection of their impressive Shigeru Kawai range. After going for a second visit to the showroom and spending the best time of 2 hours playing I finally made the choice of an SK3. The whole process was straightforward, Richard was very professional, the piano movers very careful and now I am looking forward to the MPA visit from the Shigeru factory. Overall excellent service and a very pleasant experience.

My Shigeru 7 foot grand piano arrived 2 weeks ago today after 3-4 months of intensive searching! Richard & his team understood the once-in-a-lifetime critical nature of my journey & decision making and gave me the space, time & quietness I needed to really spend time with several Shigeru's I was considering. Richard has been as flexible as possible to ensure I can make a choice with as little stress as possible. Butler Smith did an astonishingly good job of craning my 7 foot over my wall & delivering/installing it beautifully with a notable awareness of the emotional experience of seeing one's piano lifted & flipped up into position. Awesome team!!

Richard spent a lot of time helping me pick out the right piano for me. All I needed to do was tell him my exact specification for what I was looking for, and he quickly came up with a shortlist of possible pianos. He also replied to emails promptly. He didn't rush me, and allowed me to come and visit multiple times to try out different pianos as they came into the showroom. The showroom is also very nice (the only criticism is that it is slightly difficult to find), with a huge range of pianos. The delivery crew were also efficient and accommodating. I don't foresee changing pianos for a long time, but I would go back to Richard Lawson, and recommend to any friend.

I have been aware of Shigeru Kawai pianos since Florian Mitrea told me about them two years ago. I took the opportunity to hear Ashley Fripp play one at Richard Lawson’s piano studio last November. It was wonderful. I hesitated about buying one because I thought we did not have room for one. I visited RL again on 28th February and chose an SK2. It was delivered on 6 March. The two men were extremely prompt and efficient. We were so impressed. The piano is magnificent with such a beautiful sound and action and a joy to play. My one regret is that I waited so long.
