Got a pair of glasses earlier in the year. Found out by my driving instructor that they wasn’t right. So I decided to go to an optician that isn’t part of a supermarket. I will say ASDA opticians dealt with my issue professionally & swiftly & I got my money back. However the fact that my eyes wasn’t correctly tested is concerning. ASDA are good for been a supermarket but not opticians in my experience.

Had an appointment to try soft contact lessons. I was struggling to put them in and the optician didn't seem to have alot of patience, so referred me to one of the sales assistants. It took about 2 to 3 mins to put them in but I was unable to remove the lenses and had to wait for optician to come back to remove them for me. I was then charged £15 for my time in the chair, a service which is usually free and just normal procedure in most Opticians. When I rang up to complain, the Optician did not return my call.

I'm really impressed by the service I received when purchasing my latest pair of glasses. I tend to buy new ones every year and generally they are from Asda Monks Cross. Despite having a strong prescription and needing to wear varifocals I find the glasses here to be really good value for money. The customer service provided by the member of staff was excellent both in helping me to choose a pair on my first visit, making adjustments to my old pair and then helping me again when I collected my new pair. Your staff are extremely knowledgable and a credit to your department. Thank you very much.
