  My daughter was the subject of a blunt trauma injury which resulted in very serious damage to her nose and caused her to withdraw from her previous life because of her appearance. The result of this caused a serious downturn in the state of her mental health and necessitated the need for us find a surgeon who could help her. We realised very quickly that due to the issues which the NHS were battling because of the consequences of Covid 19 that any treatment would need to be done privately and so we approached an eminent surgeon within our locality. After a couple of video calls and no face to face calls I suspect that my daughters injury was placed on the ‘’too difficult’’ list by this surgeon who basically told her to come back in 12 months. This devastating appraisal worsened her mental health state and so she decided to search for a surgeon on her own for one who would be able help her. She eventually found Mr Ali, who was positive right from the first time and gave her hope, albeit cautiously, that he could help her. I had a long chat with his excellent PA , Laura who then arranged everything with Mr Ali and her treatment began. She has now undergone 3 major operations with Mr Ali and the change in the appearance of her nose really is truly remarkable ,it is all but back to its original state. Mr Ali has been totally professional and empathetic throughout the whole of the procedure and I cannot thank him enough for giving my daughter her life back. I would strongly advise anybody who is unfortunate enough to ever be in a similar situation to contact Laura and Mr Ali because they gave us all real hope when there appeared to be none and this has allowed her to do everything she did prior to the injury

  After being insecure about my nose for most of my life I booked a consultation with Mr Khalid Ali and it was the best decision I have made. I was insecure about the bump on my nose and it was wide from the front profile too. I also had breathing problems with a deviated septum. I did extensive research and he stood out massively among the rest for his experience, qualifications and of course his amazing reviews! From the moment I stepped in his office for my consultation I felt completely comfortable and knew I was in capable hands. My consultation made me feel excited and confident that he was the surgeon who would fix my life-long issues. His ability to look at me and immediately tell me what he could do to fix my nose filled me with hope. I was so confident in him that I booked my surgery just a couple days later. I was willing to travel the 11 hour round trip. My surgery was at First Trust in Preston and the staff were all so lovely and made me feel comfortable. Mr Ali came to see me just before surgery to go over what I was getting done. He also came to see me after surgery and assured me the surgery went very well. When I left hospital I could already see the difference in my side profile even with a cast on which I was so excited about. I felt no pain during recovery just a little uncomfortable which is expected. The swelling and bruising on my face and around my eyes reduced a lot after just 4-5 days and surprisingly wasn’t sore. When I returned to see Mr Ali for my cast removal 8 days later I was totally overwhelmed with my result and I cried (haha). The results were amazing and better than I could’ve expected at this stage. Mr Ali was very pleased with the result too. I’m now almost 4 weeks post surgery and have never felt so confident, and this is even with my nose still having slight swelling. Mr Khalid Ali has changed my life and this is the best decision I’ve ever made.

  Dr. Ali did a fantastic job! It was my first time ever getting surgery after years of trying to figure out what was wrong and why I had breathing issues. Dr Ali figured it out straight away, realising it was a break in my nose, which got worse over the years. I was given all the information of how it will go, and everything was smooth sailing from there. I am 1 week post-op, I have healed nicely, and the cast is off. the results are amazing. He truly is known for his work for a reason, takes into consideration what you want, amazing PA Laura aswell was very friendly and helpful. I couldn't have asked for more. very satisfied customer would highly recommend!

  Ever since I was little I have always been very self conscious of my side profile and would try as much as possible to not get my side profile in any photos. I didn’t necessarily think it was ‘ugly’, but i just felt like it just didn’t quite suit me. I felt like it was disproportionate to the rest of my face as I have quite soft features ( soft jawline, round face, round eyes etc..) Being exposed to social media and to the unjust beauty standards from a young age had a huge impact on the way I viewed my facial features. Seeing the ‘ideal perfect nose’ continuously portrayed as being cute and tiny and “button-like” made me feel inadequate in terms of feeling like I’m not ‘beautiful enough’. After maturing and growing both physically, mentally and spiritually, the need to fit into the beauty standards was replaced by confidence and a non-conformist attitude. I decided that instead of feeling ashamed of my ethnic features, I am going to embrace them instead. Unfortunately I did have some nose injuries and due to the physical trauma and my already existing deviated septum, I started experiencing breathing difficulties. My nose was always blocked and I constantly had phlegm in my throat. I also started having more nose bleeds and would experience congestion-like symptoms. My parents and I decided that i should undergo a septorhynoplasty during the Easter holidays as I was off school. My mum came across Dr Ali and we both loved how natural the after pictures looked like from his reviews. The whole process was quick and easy. The surgery itself was quite scary for me as this was the biggest operation that I’ve ever done, but the staff at the Manchester clinic were so lovely and supportive and definitely made me feel more at ease. An online copy of the aftercare was sent to us and there were clear instructions on what to do and what not to do. Any inquiries that I had over the course of my recovery were quickly answered by Dr Ali’s PA, Laura, who is a literal angel !!:)) Laura was so incredibly kind to me and promptly answered any inquiries that I had. It definitely got worse before it got better. I’m not gonna lie, the first few days were really hard emotionally and physically as I couldnt breathe at all out of my nose due to the dissolvable nasal packings placed inside my nostrils. I was very swollen and bruised around my eyes, however by day 7, I was barely swollen anymore and most of the bruising had gone ( the severity of the bruising and swelling is completely subjective as different people react differently, so you might not be as bruised or swollen as I was.) I could also start breathing again by day 5/6 and due to the dissolvable nasal packings, there was no need for a painful removal as they had completely dissolved from the nasal spray by day 9/10. On day 9 I went back to Manchester to remove my cast and finally saw my nose post op which wasn’t as scary or as painful as I thought it would be. Laura was again so incredibly kind to us and just made the whole process so much more enjoyable. Her warm, bubbly energy was very infectious and immediately put a smile on our faces as well as instantly made me feel comfortable and safe. The nose was still very big and swollen as it was completely reconstructed, but Mr Ali reassured me that the swelling will go down. Apart from that, I was just so shocked at how good my nose and side profile looked. When I first saw it in the mirror, I thought, “this is the nose for me.” It does take a year to see the actual final result, however so far im honestly just speechless and so happy. It’s been a month and week since my nose surgery and I’m even more confident now and not scared to show my side profile anymore. Although it was quite expensive, it was definitely worth it. It is still quite swollen but I’m taking it day by day as in a few months the swelling will go down even further. My nose is more softer-looking and still looks very natural. Thankyou so much Mr Ali and Laura. Altogether, a very professional experience. Would recommend!!:))

  When I first met Mr. Ali, he put my mind at ease immediately. He listened to me with a very understanding, caring manner and was very reassuring. I am so grateful for the care I have received, before, during and after my surgery from Mr. Ali and his team. His PA Laura, is an absolute diamond. So caring and helpful in any way she can. I highly recommend Mr. Ali. He is an extremely talented surgeon, with a caring gentle manner.

  Why didn’t I get this done 25 years sooner 😭 I would have saved so much time on feeling self conscious about my nose - that’s my only regret. But I promise you it’s never too late to get such a confidence boost! I actually searched nose surgeons on and off for years, I even went for several consultations with surgeons, who felt that there was little point in trying to fix my nose as my result may not be much different. I required a nose reduction and a septoplasty for deviated septum. They suggested I find specialist rhinoplasty surgeons for a second opinion in London or America! I thought I’d search closer to home and randomly came across Dr Ali’s website and his reviews were awesome. I phoned his secretary who was AMAZING, reassuring, informative and really passionate about Dr Ali’s work and the results she had witnessed. I decided by the end of the call that this was the dream team I wanted!! My surgery and aftercare wasn’t painful at all. It was uncomfortable in the initial healing stages obviously because you have to wear a splint and it can feel a little restrictive. I got chance to binge watch a lot of Netflix post surgery :) Approx 3 months later and I’m currently in the healing stages. My nose is looking awesome so far! Still some mild swelling but as you’ll know it can take a while for the nose to fully heal and you have to be patience. But I’m so happy so far - I can’t stop looking in the mirror! Dr Ali has got the shape and angle so perfectly but without it drastically changing my face- which is exactly what I wanted. Some people haven’t even noticed my nose, but people that know me well are super impressed. I know my results will improve even further over the months. I have had a little infection in one of my internal stitches but this is no one’s fault. As soon as I told Laura and Dr Ali they sorted me treatment / prescription straight away and even directed it to my local pharmacy. If I could give you one tip it is to book as much time off work as you can. I only booked 12 days off but wish I’d have booked 3 weeks off as I was tired and also self conscious of bruising. The tip was very tender in the initial weeks so be careful in busy areas. It does get better each month. Trust the process. Dr Ali and Laura are the dream team! They have kept in touch to review. Dr Ali is calm professional and with integrity. He is a master in his skill! And Laura (PA) is an absolute sunshine! Always happy to help and stay in touch, plus she is super funny and caring. I could go on but my thumbs are aching now. But if you’re reading this, this is your sign to go for it! YOLO Thank you

  I decided to go through the procedure with Mr Ali after reading his credentials on several public sites and the great reviews from other patients. The whole experience went extremely well, from the starting point of having consultations with him, to discussing the detailed process via his fabulous PA Laura and the operation itself. Mr Ali is very patient and will give realistic advice to suit individual needs. The recovery process also went really well with the lowest level of uncomfort, which is really reassuring. I would highly recommend Mr Ali for his superb expertise and the service provided by his clinic and related team.

  Attended consultation at the Calder bank house... Looked like it is from 1980's with cheap thin dirty carpets, the worst chairs ever to sit on and overall, rough looking place. Made to wait 30 minutes and lost confidence in proceeding with medical examination for the 3D before and after for pre operative consultation. It is a shame a private medical practise is so run down when charging a premium rate for a high end procedure. I was looking forward to meeting with Dr Ali as he comes super highly rated & recommended on Google. The condition of the building, wait time and the overall level of service is not what one would expect from a private medical clinic/ facility. This ultimately meant I decided it was best to not continue with consultation, but that does not mean Dr Ali is not good at his job... It just means it would be more suitable to have a clean, well lit place of work, with suitable door entry instead of annoying buzzer, vending facility for drinks/ tea / coffee like you find in most premium offices. I can understand this maybe out of the surgeons constraints, but it is important to reinvest capital back into the business to create a positive image. Especially when you are at the higher end of the fee schedule compared with other surgeons in this field. You are ultimately selling this service to nervous potential patients, and has taken me ages to pluck the courage to go see someone, only to have felt disheartened upon arrival. I have seen better NHS waiting areas on council estates.
