While the owner of Revival can be grumpy at times,I think it is a reflection of his genius. I had a chaise lounge (great flea market find) upholstered it the most devine fabric, recommended by the owner himself, who restored the piece to its formal glory. Very reasonable and high quality work.

I had the worst experience you could ever imagine as a customer, the owner of the shop was rude, inefficient, flakey and totally unprofessional. He made false promises which I loathe, he told me that my ottoman would be ready to collect on 4 different occasions and that he'd inform me when it was but never once did he call to say it was ready or at least keep me in the loop about its progress. Every time I'd call, there was barely ever a reply and when he did, he was rude and totally unapologetic about the terrible delay. I had to go in person twice to the shop to speak to someone about the timings. Then to top it all off, the 'finished' ottoman wasn't finished at all, he had forgotten to sew the fringe (which I had given to him with the ottoman) onto the base which he then proceeded to tell me that he may have lost it! I was so angry that I didn't want him to sew it on when he eventually found it. He didn't offer a discount or any apology. The ottoman is incomplete and looks totally shoddy, I'm going to have to redo the entire thing. What a waste of time, money and energy! I will never use Revival again nor shall I recommend it to anyone!!!

A very grouchy unpleasant older man who completely ruined my couch with his suggestions on how to re-upholster. Didn't care, kept delaying without notifying, had to call 4 times a day to get a reply, had to retake it in after 3 weeks since my expensive couch had completely lost its shape and comfort. Am very upset that my couch is now completely ruined and out of shape.... I trusted what was supposedly an expert at his job... Not a nice experience so would definitely not recommend this shop.
