I found Mr. Muqit to be an absolute genius! Having been told 10 months previously by another Consultant that I did NOT have a macular hole, Mr. Muqit diagnosed me with a full thickness large macular hole and I decided to go ahead with him and have Vitrectomy surgery knowing that success is slightly reduced once the hole is categorised as large. Mr. Muqit’s secretary was so friendly and accommodating, never making me feel that I asked too many questions. Mr. Muqit himself has a lovely calm, reassuring manner and clearly is a genius when it comes to his surgical capabilities. I’m so greatly to Mr. Muqit and his team. My surgery has been a success and I can look forward to potential further improvement over the coming months rather than the certain deterioration I would have had if I’d not gone to him and been guided by my previous Consultant. I am more than grateful.

Mr Muqit did 2 procedures for me in 2021, retinal detachment surgery and cataract surgery. Following cataract surgery, I developed clouding of the capsule behind the new lens. Mr Muqit treated this with a very quick and painless laser procedure. All these conditions involved the left eye. I have perfect 20/20 vision in both eyes (with glasses).
