The place was nice but the brasserie messed up our meals. When you are paying that much for steak you shouldnt have to wait to eat it half an hour after everyone else

My husband and I went for afternoon tea, room was lovely and clean. We had the vegan tea selection, unfortunately everything was more or less inedible, so we paid for a few extremely overpriced bland white bread sandwiches. The scones and cakes were all dense, dry and only tasted of desiccated coconut. The vegan scone was so crumbly and sweet so odd to try a scone and get an oily coconut biscuit thing . The cakes were dense and again only tasted of desiccated coconut…. We tasted everything and ate nothing, sadly were given no compensation despite the fact we left most things uneaten. Staff were kind and friendly and the tea was fresh and authentic. If you are vegan, please do not go for the afternoon tea.
