Bought a Ted Baker shirt for £15 for my boyfriend. On paying for the said item I asked the lady on the till, “ if the shirt doesn’t fit my partner can I have a refund as it’s an expense item” The young lady said yes so I bought the shirt with cash. She asked if I wanted a receipt and I responded “yes please so I can return if needed.” I left with the receipt and shirt and unfortunately it didn’t fit so I tried to return two days later only to be told by assistant manager that they don’t do refunds and I could have an exchange, I explained the conversation on Saturday and that I was told I could have a refund and only parted with cash based on the information given to me by staff. Still no help just repeated herself. By this point I was really annoyed because in my opinion it should have been honoured and the young lady spoken to again about their stance on refunds. It’s clear on the receipt that they only exchange but until you part with your money and later told you can’t have your money back you aren’t aware. Shocking service from somewhere I’ve previously donated goods. I’d give zero stars but there’s no option to do that
