I didn't fully appreciate how clean I had to leave the place to avoid the £120 charge. It was some hair, soap bubbles from last-minute emptying of shampoo bottles, and dust (which accumulated before my three months there). This was only my second lease... lesson learned, I guess. Scott's before-move-in photos didn't show the orange goop coating the kitchen ceiling extract valve, the griminess on and dust over the long kitchen ventilator hood, or the sticky dark residue (mold?) on the floor behind the couch. Not well-shown were the black mold under and around the glass bathtub screen, and the dark lines in the bathtub grout. We cleaned these areas, though the sticky stuff behind the couch seemed to require stronger cleaning tools. Scott came across as responsive and professional, and I can understand not noticing things like the floor behind the couch.
