This is not a venue I would recommend, they are not transparent with their pricing. We paid £3200 for 210 people from 3-9PM. They disputed giving us a set up period prior to the event beginning which is very normal for venues to do so and it took much negotiation. However on the day they still didn’t adhere to what was verbally agreed. The dummy waiter wasn’t working on the day and they are just overall difficult people to work with. If you are looking for a stress free experience with a professional team and transparent pricing then save yourself the hassle and book elsewhere. The aircon upstairs in the starlite suite doesn’t work. However the unprofessionalism is what is most significant and based on this it is not a venue we would ever use again or recommend others to use. They have an additional hourly charge of £250 which is not disclosed anywhere and they charge £500 for the external caterers to use their kitchen facilities with food that has already been prepared.

I didn't like my experience here as a potential wedding venue. In the end of the conversation with the individuals running the place, I found them untrustworthy and not forthcoming. I understand about securing bookings and maximising profits, but due to the nature of what is being booked i.e. a wedding, you would expect a more subtle, open and honest approach. We found what they were saying was inconsistent, contradictory and overall abit disappointing. Being honest, I just wanted to get out of there as soon as possible. For me, the feeling of my initial interactions with the venue, would be a reflection of what is expected on the day, so it was a clear 'NO' for me. It is a shame since this place has a significant amount of potential, once they do undertake renovations as they mentioned they will do. At the moment the decor is tired, dirty and not very pleasant to look at. I really do hope they can fix these and possibly hire someone specifically trained to interact with potential clients. Even if a client finds that this is not the right venue for them, they should still feel good about the customer service and professionalism of whomever they interacted with.

My wedding took place here in 2012. The guys who managed this place at the time was great , reliable and reassuring. It was new at the time when I booked this venue. Everything went Smoothly on the day from catering , decoration and my guest were very happy the fact it was local and convenient to travel to.
